Meccha Chameleon is not on Poki, but you can play the same paint-and-hide game in your browser. The free browser version has the same mechanics, the same maps, and the same hide and seek loop - no signup, no download, no install.
Coming soon - Native Meccha Chameleon build in development
Our native Meccha Chameleon build is in active development. The previous iframe pointed at a third-party site and is now offline while we finish the in-house version. Play Hide N Seek! from GameDistribution on the main play page while you wait.
In a meccha chameleon poki, each player uses a paint tool to recolour their body to match the wall, floor, or prop behind them. The team with the best-painted Hiders wins, because a perfect colour match can hide you in plain sight.
A round typically lasts 2-3 minutes: a short paint phase, then a seeker hunt. The mechanics are identical to the full game - paint, crouch, match surfaces, freeze, and run.
Unlike regular hide and seek, where the dark corner wins, in this game the best-painted corner wins. The dark corner is the first place a Seeker looks. The painted corner is invisible.
The key is matching the secondary colour, not just the dominant one. A red brick wall has grey mortar lines. Match both, and the Seeker walks past. Match only the red, and the grey lines give you away.
The browser version has six official maps, each with different surfaces and lighting:
